What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a revolutionary orthodontic treatment for straightening teeth in a discreet and comfortable way.

The Invisalign treatment consists of wearing a series of removable clear plastic dental aligners worn for between 20 to 22 hours a day, so they can easily be removed for eating and brushing.

 

How are Invisalign braces fitted?

A digital 3d treatment plan, known as ClinCheck© is custom made for your teeth and is available to view before you start treatment so you know what they will look like at the end of treatment. From the results of the ClinCheck©, your custom-made aligners are produced for you.

Once treatment starts, appointment intervals with the orthodontist are between every 6-8 weeks. The aligners apply gentle pressure in order to move your teeth over time, to a position prescribed by the orthodontist. In order to move the teeth effectively most treatments require small tooth coloured attachments to be placed on the teeth. These usually stay in place for the duration of treatment and may need to be replaced.
